1. Introduction

TalkaNote is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

2. Data Collected

User Identity: Apple ID only. Sign-in is possible exclusively via Apple Sign-In. No anonymous or guest usage is available.
Audio Recordings, Transcripts, and AI Content: Collected and stored securely for providing the service.
Usage Statistics and Device Information: Collected for analytics and app improvement (e.g., Firebase Analytics).
Purchase and Subscription History: Managed through Apple In-App Purchases and RevenueCat; associated with your Apple ID.
No Location Data: We do not collect or store location data.
TalkaNote is open to all ages; there are no age restrictions.

3. Data Usage

To provide core features: audio recording, speech-to-text transcription, and AI-powered text processing.
To manage credits and subscription status.
For analytics, crash reporting, and performance monitoring.
Data is shared only with trusted third parties necessary for the operation of the service: Firebase, RevenueCat, OpenAI, and Apple.

4. Data Storage and Security

All data is stored securely with industry-standard encryption and access controls.
We never sell your data or share it with unauthorized third parties.
Audio files and related user data are stored on secure infrastructure provided by Firebase and Apple.
Subscription status and purchases are managed via Apple and linked to your Apple ID.
To protect the service and maintain performance for all users, a maximum file size and fair usage limits may be enforced for audio uploads and transcription.
If a single audio file or your overall usage exceeds these reasonable limits, the app may refuse to process your request or temporarily restrict access.
These limits are in place to prevent abuse and ensure system stability.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

You can delete your data (audio, transcript, and AI content) or your entire account from within the app at any time. This action is irreversible: all personal data and usage history stored in TalkaNote will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered by the developer.
After account deletion, if you sign in again with the same Apple ID, your previously available credits and subscription status (if still valid) will be automatically restored, as both are linked to your Apple ID via RevenueCat and Apple. Other content (audio, transcripts, AI outputs) will not be restored.
Manual deletion, data access, or change requests (e.g. via email or other channels) are not supported; all data control must be done through the app.
If your subscription expires, your cloud-stored audio recordings, transcripts, and AI content will remain securely stored for 30 days.
During this time, you cannot access cloud data unless you renew your subscription. If you do not renew your subscription within 30 days, all your cloud data will be permanently deleted. Only data stored locally on your device will remain accessible.

6. Data Access, Correction, and Portability

Accessing, correcting, or deleting your data is only possible through the app interface. No alternative channels are provided.
We do not provide data export or portability features outside of what Apple and RevenueCat offer through your Apple ID.

7. Data Shared with Third Parties

Data is shared with partners (Firebase, RevenueCat, OpenAI, Apple) only as needed to deliver TalkaNote’s services.
All third parties are contractually required to protect your data and use it only for providing their services to TalkaNote.

8. Children's Privacy

TalkaNote does not impose age restrictions. However, if you are under the age required by your country to consent to data processing, please use the app under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian as required by law.

9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Major changes will be communicated via the app or our website. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
